The footer is the bottom-most section of your store. Use the footer to share a short description of your store and add additional navigation menus that help customers quickly find out more information about what you do.
On mobile devices, the footer takes up much more vertical space and can take up an entire screen::
The footer has the following settings:
Enable a form block at the top of the footer where customers can subscribe to your newsletter.
Newsletter subscribers are added to your "accepts marketing" Shopify list. You can learn more about how to manage Shopify customer emails from their and article.
Note that the Popup feature and Newsletter section also include newsletter signup blocks, so you might want to check those out as well.
Enable icons for each of the payment methods your store accepts.
No additional configuration is required. This setting reads the list of payment methods currently active on your checkout page.
Enable the language selector in the bottom of the footer.
Enable the currency selector in the bottom of the footer.
To learn about the settings for the Text, Links, and Newsletter content areas, see the Add content to the footer section.
Your footer can include up to three distinct content areas. The areas are:
Text: An area for a sentence or two about your store. Links: A menu of links to other pages.
You can see the content areas enabled in the image below::
