Recently viewed products

You can add a list of recently viewed products to the bottom of each blog post, blog index, product and collection page. This list is unique to each customer: it's the last products that they most recently viewed.

Note that this section does not appear if the customer has viewed fewer than three products.

Set up recently viewed products on your pages

Recently viewed products can be enabled on the following pages:

• Blog posts

• Blog index

• Product pages

• Collection pages

To set up a recently viewed products section

STEPS

1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Blog posts, Blogs, Product pages, or Collection pages from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

2. Choose Recently viewed products from the list of sections.

3. Check Enable to show it on this template.

4. Change the Heading text and alignment.

The following image outlines the layout differences between Left, Center, and Right aligned:

1. Choose the amount of Rows and Products per row

Using the Rows and Products per row sliders, you can create very different looking recently viewed products sections.

For example, the Chic preset uses 1 row and 4 products per row settings. But changing that to 2 rows and 2 products per row results in a much different section:

1. Choose an Image aspect ratio for all product images.

   This setting auto-crops images to a single aspect ratio, making it easy to quickly add images and make them look uniform.

   Use the Natural option if you don't want images to be auto-cropped.

2. Change the section style to an Outline section if you desire.

3. Click Save.

The following settings are available for the Recently viewed product section:

Enable

Select this checkbox to enable the recently viewed products section.

Heading

Add heading text to be used by this section.

Heading alignment

You can change the heading alignment to Left, Center or Right. See examples

Rows

You can choose to display between 1 and 4 rows of recently viewed products. See an example

Products per row

You can adjust how many products are shown in each row 2, 3 or 4. See an example

When you show more products per row, the product images are smaller.

Image aspect ratio

Use this setting to automatically crop images to a specific aspect ratio. Choose from Square (1:1), Landscape (3:2), or Portrait (2:3) aspect ratios.

Choose Natural if you do not want your images to be cropped.
