Testimonials

The Testimonials section lets you feature quotes from customers or press. Each quote can have an optional icon associated with it – perfect for an avatar or a logo.

Set up a testimonials section on the home page

To set up the testimonials section:

STEPS

1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Home page from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

2. Scroll down the list of home page sections and click the Add section button.

3. Choose Testimonials from the list of sections.

   This opens the testimonials section settings.

4. Use the Width setting to choose how wide the icons should be. Choose between 40 pixels and 150 pixels. This setting applies to the entire testimonials section, so that each block is uniform. More on width here.

5. Return to the list of Home page sections to find your new Testimonials section.

   Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of your Home page sections:

6. Use the Add testimonial button to add a new testimonial.

7. Click Save.

Content

Width

Choose how wide each icon should be. Choose between 40 pixels and 150 pixels. See width for more detail on this setting. We recommend keeping each testimonial image a consistent width to height.

Settings reference

The Width setting gives you more flexibility to display different kinds of icons. For example, instead of customer headshots, you may wish to use a number of wider company logos. In the following image, we use a width of 100 pixels.

Add testimonial

To add a new testimonial to your testimonials section:

STEPS

1. Make sure you are already editing the Testimonials section that you want to change.

2. Use the Add testimonial button to add a new testimonial.

3. Select or upload a square image for the Icon. This will most likely be a profile picture of the person being quoted.

   Note that if all your testimonial quotes in a section have images, they will be displayed as a left-to-right scrollable carousel on mobile devices. For more information, see the Testimonial carousels on mobile article.

4. Add Quote text.

5. Add an Author.

6. Return to the list of Home page sections to find your Testimonials section with the content blocks nested below.

   You can change the order of the blocks by using the drag handles:

7. Repeat this process until you've added all the testimonials you need.

You can also use the Remove block button to remove a testimonial from this section entirely.

7. Click Save.

Select or upload an image, used as the profile picture for the person being quoted in the testimonial.

Testimonial

Add the quote text for the testimonial.

Author

Add the name of the person being quoted.
