Map

Use the Map section to promote your brick-and-mortar retail stores. This section is designed specifically for your address information and store hours.

Add a map section

To add a map section:

STEPS

From your Customize theme editor, choose Home page from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.
Scroll down the list of home page settings until you see the Add section button.
Choose Map from the list of sections.
This opens the Map section settings.
Add up to two content blocks using the Add text button. By default, one is for Hours and one is for Address. But you can use them for whatever you want.
Add or upload an Image to be displayed in this section.
Use the Image position setting to place the image on the Left or Right half of the section.
On mobile, the image is always shown at the top of the section. This is so that the text can be a single, flowing section. See an example:
Change the Heading and Subheading text.
Add a Link and Link text, which is attached to a call to action button.
We recommend copy and pasting a link from Google Maps with a pin on your store address, like this:
In this case, the URL would be very long and would look like this:

If you want to link to a external page, like an Instagram profile page, you need to type (or copy and paste) the full URL starting with https://. For example: https://maps.google.com/abc123.
(Optional.) Check the Enable contrast checkbox to use Ira's contrast color set.
Contrast colors are a great way to break up your home page and make it more interesting.
You can configure these colors from Ira's Colors settings.
(Optional.) Choose whether to Enable full width.
Enabling this setting removes any borders around the section, letting it fill the entire width of the screen.
Return to the list of Home page sections to find your new Map section.

Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of your Home page sections:

Click Save.

Settings reference

The map section has the following settings:

Image

Select or upload an image to be displayed.

Image position

Choose which side the image appears on: either the Left half or Right half of the section.

This setting does not apply on small mobile devices, where the image is always displayed at the top of the section.

Heading

Add heading text for the section.

We recommend keeping this to only a few words long.

Subheading

Add a subheading to be displayed under the heading.

We recommend keeping this to a short sentence or two.

Link

Add a link to the section's call to action button.

Link text

Add link text for the section's call to action button.

Note that if you want to link to a external page, like an Instagram profile page, you need to type (or copy and paste) the full URL starting with https://. For example: https://instagram.com/abc123.

The text content blocks added using the Add text button each have the following settings:

Heading

Add heading text.

We recommend keeping this to only a few words long. For example: "Store Hours," or "Address."

Text

Add a paragraph or multiple lines of text. This is great for addresses and store hours.

Enable contrast

Use your store's contrast colors for this section.

Enable full width

Check this checkbox to remove the outer margins from this section, making it span the entire width of the screen.
