Questions and answers

The Questions and Answers section displays a dynamic list of questions with dropdown answers in a full-width accordion. It's a great way to anticipate your customers needs and make them feel informed. :

The Questions and Answers section can be used on the following page templates:

  • Home page template

  • Collection pages template

  • Product page template

Add a Questions and answers section to the home page

To set up a Questions and answers section on your home page:

STEPS

  1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Home page from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the home page sections and choose Add section.

  3. Choose Questions and Answers from the list of sections.

    This opens the Questions and answers settings.

  4. Change the Heading text.

  5. (Optional.) Add a Subheading.

  6. Return to the list of Home page sections to find your new Questions and answers section with the content blocks nested below.

Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of the blocks:

  1. Use the Add Question button.

  2. Change the Answer text.

    Use the formatting buttons to add bold, italic, and linked text.

  3. Change the Author name text.

  4. Click Save.

Add a Questions and answers section to other pages

You can add a Questions and answers section to your Collection pages and Product pages templates.

To enable a Questions and answers section on these pages:

STEPS

  1. From your Customize theme editor, choose Collections or Products from the pages drop-down menu at the top of the screen.

  2. Click on the arrow beside Collection features or Product features.

  3. Use the Add block button to select Questions and answers.

This opens the Questions and answers settings. You can add up to 8 questions.

  1. Change the Heading text.

  2. (Optional.) Add a Subheading.

  3. Change the Question text.

  4. Change the Answer text.

    Use the formatting buttons to add bold, italic, and linked text.

  5. Add the name of the Author.

  6. Return to the list of Product or Collection features. Use the drag handles to rearrange the order of the blocks:

  7. Click Save.

Settings reference

The Questions and answers section has the following settings:

Question

Add a frequently asked question.

Answer

Add an answer to the question.

Author name

Add the author of the answer.

Heading

Add a short heading.

Subheading

Add a short subheading.

Use alternate selection color

Set the background color to the Alternate Section Color as chosen in your Color Settings.
